1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? N-U-endo
2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) both
3. Tell us something about yourself.
My name is Michael and I am a part of a band called N-U-endo. We reign from Utah. Home of the 2002 Olympics.
4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up?
Well a friend of the band saw the Fox News spot on CubWorld and immediately called me! 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept?
I really dig the concept of sellaband. giving fans a chance to become a part of the band. As I am a toltal newbie here, I cannot tell you a dislike as of yet.
artists: What tactics do you use to try and attract believers?
Well this is somewhat of a grey area for me as I am new. I use Myspace and our own website. I have gone to believers profiles and left comments introcing the band but I think that is thought of as being a spammer. Would really love to chat with other artists about this topic.
Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with?
Well being that I have been focused on getting my band going here, I havent had a chance to really check out any other bands. I have looked at Shadowside and I like them
What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband?
I would like to achieve the main goal to get into the studio but I also want to create friendships all over the world
Why should believers believe in you? Well we are a very hard working band. We have some small success locally and it has taken 2 1/2 years to get where we are. We are very committed. And we always have a great time with our fans at our shows!

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband?Andy Roberts www.sellaband.com/andyroberts/2. What are you on Sellaband? Artist 3. Tell us something about yourself.I left home when I was 16 and lived as a busker in the Paris Metro 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? I can't remember where I heard about it, but it was in the very early days of the site. The concept seemed to me to relate to the ideas in Chris Anderson's book "The long Tail". Signing up does not incur any cost or effort but I decided to blog about it as well in order to promote Sellaband and enable wider discussion. 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? I like the way that in theory, talented artists can get noticed without having to comply with the traditional expectations of the industry. I dislike the way the power curve within Sellaband itself is distorted by the emphasis on those who have already sold most parts. What tactics do you use to try and attract believers?1) Write and record good songs. 2) I've come here to this forum in order to learn from others. Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? To be honest, I think I am more likely to make contacts through mySpace which lends itself more towards maintaining weak links with other musicians. Sellaband may have a way of doing it too, but I haven't found it yet. What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband?Motivation to write and record enough good songs to make a great album. Why should believers believe in you?Because I have artistic integrity, accomplished guitar playing technique, back catalogue of meaningful lyrics, clear singing voice and a Mac computer.

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband?
ROOGA
2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both)
artist
3. Tell us something about yourself.
"Funky Nu Rock" is the self definition of their style. A fancy cocktail of hand-made rockmusic, in-your-face crossover and a pinch of groovy funk vibes gives their music the characteristic spice.
Bands like ROOGA have become kind of rare in Austria's music scene. No TV-castings, no artificial media hype, just honest love for music makes up the foursome from Vienna.
If you've ever listened to ROOGA you probably know what it's all about: loud, hot, edgy and catchy as hell, candy for your ears.
It all started back in 2006 at a jam session in a basement in Liesing, one of Vienna's districts. After various band members had come and left the current line-up of ROOGA turned out to be: Klaus on drums, Alex on guitars, bass player Victor and centre of attention: Kati, who, once listened to, won't disappear from your ears and eyes.
No time was wasted in the following months, tunes were written, a demo cd was recorded and lots of gigs were played. The band even achieved to win the nationwide Local Heroers band competition and rose to be Austria's newcomerband for 2006.
Guest performances at festivals and great gigs like in legendary Chelsea paved their way to success. In autumn the band went on tour to conquer the rest of the republic of the Alps(e.g.Innsbruck,Graz,Klagenfurt,..)
In early 2007 a nomination for this year's Project Pop! sampler followed. Plans have already been made for numerous other concerts (Flex,Shelter,Planet Music,Arena,Replugged,..) and on top of that: the first ROOGA full length album is about to be released in autumn/winter this year so stay tuned.
4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up?
we found out about Sellaband because some other Austrian bands are registered too and the whole concept of Sellaband sounded like a cool thing, so we decided to sign up!
5. What do you like/dislike about the concept?
we like the concept cause it`s good promotion for all the bands signed up at sellaband. moreover, it focuses on those people most important to every band - the fans.
- What tactics do you use to try and attract believers?
we promote our sellaband profile via our website and our myspace site, so that all our fans get to know the page and spread the word!
- Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with?
we haven`t yet concentrated on listening to other bands, but there`s definitely a full range of great bands up there!
- What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband?
we`d like to enhance our degree of popularity in Austria as well as in other countries!
- Why should believers believe in you?
cause we believe in our music, powerful nu rock with a funky edge to it and if we get the chance to record a CD in a great studio with great technicians, we`d definitely take it and make the best out of it!!

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Steel Temple 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) Artist 3. Tell us something about yourself. - We're a band from Macedonia (ex-Yugoslavian country), maybe the only one from Macedonia on SellaBand. We play since year 2000. A lot of concerts since, gigs, self organized, we played a lot of humanitary concerts, moto festivals, and our biggest success is being warming up band for the Rock Legends WHITESNAKE. We play "Heavy Metal/Progressive Rock" with some atmosheric keyboards, but also we use the keyboards like a solo instrument in some parts too, so it sounds very well for a lot of people. Steel Temple has released one album till now called "Barajki Go Spasot"(Searching for Salvation) and on the album there were 5 songs on English, five on Macedonian language, and one Intro (instrumental song). The album was well recieved here in Macedonia so we made 3 videos for 3 songs of the album. The song "Rock'n'roll To The End" had a big airplay on TV's all around Macedonia, and even on Macedonian National TV via Sattelite. We're preparing our new material, and we're in the studio right now recording it. Steel Temple has five members: Filip Filipovski (Vocals), Darko Popovski "Bluz" (Keyboards), Deniz Adil (Guitars), Marijan Petrovski (Bass) and Urosh Veljkovic (Drums). 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? Our Keyboardist's sister has heard about SellaBand but didn't know what was the adress of the page, she only explained what's hapenning there, and we got interested in that stuff.....She found the adress, and me and the keyboardist checked it out, we LOVED the concept of the pages, so we signed up with no questions asked. Great stuff 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? We like that you can meet a lot of new people and bands here, you can even make some conections for playing outside of your country, similar to MySpace, but maybe even better, cause the thing here is ONLY about music, and not just fun....And in the meantime, while you have fun and meet new people, you get benefits and hopefuly, you'll get a record deal. No disliking the concept - What tactics do you use to try and attract believers? Well, we put banners on our Blog and our Myspace page, soon on our official page, and attract people to come see what's happening here. Also, we write comments and messages to the other users of SellaBands, to beleavers and artists, and trying to make more friends and beleavers. - Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? - Till now, we liked Vegas Dragons, Eleonore,Mandyleigh, Black Jack has some freaky music, and Blister are great too......Lily is quite good in her latino....we have others to check out too, we haven't seen and heard everything yet. - What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband? More friends and meeting new bands and people, conections for playing outside of our country, and the final goal, maybe (hopefuly) signing the BIG deal - Why should believers believe in you? They should beleave in us cause we're an honest band. Now we're getting into some etchic and morality thing here, not only music. If you're not an honest person to yourself at first, and then to others, you can't make good music. We're honest artists to everyone, especialy to our music, so that's why we think exist 7 years, and that's why people should beleave in us. We'll be doing this for a long time (Hopefuly)

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Mira Gem
2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) Artist
3. Tell us something about yourself. I´m from São Paulo, Brazil, 24 years old, I play acoustic guitar, and I am not a good player, I sing and I´m not a good singer, but I have ideas, and they are good ones.
4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? I was watching MTV Brasil, what a shame, and they were talking about it, at least one good new. I wanted to try and see what happens.
5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? I like the fact that believers can be part of the dream, that "sharing" thing is beautiful.
6.What tactics do you use to try and attract believers? I dont use any tactics. I cant force a person to believe in my music. You listen to the music and if you like it, I will be very very happy. If you dont, that´s your taste. I wish I was like those people who spam everywhere, but I´m not.
7.Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? Yes.
8.What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband? Making it to the $50k and making friends, people you know will support you, will be there for you, like good friends, and I will be there for them, when they need.
9.Why should believers believe in you? Because you dont see a Brazilian female artist making psychedelic rock bossa nova and weird mixes everyday, everywhere. I´m unique, and I am sure my music will be very successfull if well produced. I am not the one who will shake the ass. I will shake people´s mind.

1. kegher 2. believer 3. I'm a 22 year old IT student from the Netherlands, currently working fulltime so for the time being I have some money to spend. 4. Blueace.nl (A dutch web2.0 blog) had an article on Sellaband, that was back in sept 2006 and I waited a while to check how it would work out. I saw Nemesa hit the 50k and decided to join in. 5. Some have argued that with two big music industry oldtimers SellaBand is just another selection method for major labels to pick their new talents. I won't disagree right away, however this concept is much better then the convential picking by appearance only. This way artists are much closer to their fans and I believe fans will chose artists more for their music then for their appearance. Also $10 for a limited edition CD is not a bad deal at all. 6. I mostly listen to their music, then I check for videos, website and also important, activity. I used to decide the amount of parts based on how much I like the band, however I've set a maximum of 1 part a band now. 7. I'm a big fan of the typical Belgium band Headphone, their easy listening indie rock is honey to my ears. They also have a very nice videoclip and website, however they dont seem very active at the moment. Second and third are respectively Slim Void and the Fakes. 8. Please check my profile for this 9. Be sure your band is ready to record an album, handle the interaction between fans and put some new songs/videos up now and then.

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Christiaangerrits 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) believer 3. Tell us something about yourself. I work for the tax department in the Netherlands and I like to play soccer and visiting concerts 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? I read about it in a newspaper (NRC Next) , I just like music and SAB has a lot in common with DYIY-attutede punkrockscene has. 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? The interaction I like the most, I really dislike artists spamming my account.
believers: How do you decide what artists to support? I hear of I like the music and where they are from . Who are your current top 3 recommendations of artists to support and why?
Mandyleigh, she is just so dedicated to make it and a very bad girl, Elleanore they are from the same state as me and you have to support your locals Vegas Dragons, because they just rock as hell
Any other artists you're currently interested in? Daniel Ward Murphy is very talented guy.
What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband? If your music is good enough people will invest in you, don’t spam it will not get your more investors

I'M HALF FRENCH, HALF AFRICAN(MALI), I LIVE IN PORTUGAL AND BRASIL. I AM AN AUTHOR COMPOSITOR SINGER. I PLAY SEVERAL INSTRUMENTS? TRADITIONAL AND MODERNS,ILOVE WORLD MUSIC, AND THE PROJECT I PRESENT IN SAB IS ONLY BASED ON REGGAE MUSIC. 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? I SAW A TV PROGRAM IN PORTUGAL, AND 1 HOUR LETTER, I WAS IN SAB 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? I REALLY LIKE THIS NEW CONCEPT, BUT WHEN YOU FIRST ARRIVE? IT IS A BIT DIFFICULT TO ENTER IN THE "SAB FAMILY". artists: FOR THE MOMENT, I DIDN'T REALLY START A REAL STRATEGY TO FIND BELEIVERS. WHAT I FEEL IS THAT THE WORLD MUSIC (ETHNIC,REGGAE...) ARE NOT VERY REPRESENTED (ARTISTS) AND MAYBE NOT ENOUGH APPRACIATE(BELEIVERS). PLEASE BELEIVERS, TAKE TIME TO LISTEN AND TRY TO LISTEN TO MUSIC YOU WOULDN'T LISTEN TO IN OTHER SITUATION; WHAT I CAN SAY, IS THAT I PLAY DIFFERENT KIND OF MUSIC, BUT MY REGGAE IN SAB (ONLY demo) IS VERY SWEET AND ACCESSIBLE TO A LARGE PUBLIC. YOU DONT NEED TO BE RASTA AND TO SMOKE TO ENJOY IT. TRY AND FLY, AND IF YOU LIKE? BUY A PART BYE BYE ALIOUNE K

How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? Me Bro , Joris Vos from Radio Orange was very possitive about Sellaband , so I thought :"Let's give it a try ." 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? Maybe this sounds weird to most of you . What I dislike is , that there is a very very small possibility that I have to go to studio and make that F*cking CD . -What tactics do you use to try and attract believers? I'm not interested in believers , only in peeps who like to listen to my music . I prefer nice comments to parts . -Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? Is Quincy Jones still on Sellaband ? -What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband? Maybe a nice jam with some peeps here in the neighbourhood . -Why should believers believe in you? They shouldn't , most of the other musicians are far more serious than me .

Cubworld has kept me here - 'My World' - what a great track, I have to return to keep listening to it. 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? Great concept, I look forward to seeing the full development. It's what the music industry needs to help to diversify our current situation.
A question for you guys... Do you see sellaband as a launch platform for unsigned artists to help get signed or can SAB take on the full record industry?

Do you see sellaband as a launch platform for unsigned artists to help get signed or can SAB take on the full record industry? There are many (if not the majority!) of Artists around the world who make a nice living from playing pubs and clubs. It is only a small minority who make it really big, so if we discount the really big players for the moment and concentrate on the people who make a living ... Does Sellaband offer a new revenue/advertising opportunity for the jobbing musicians? I'd say a definate yes! Next, we have the group who would like to go from making a living to making it big. Does Sellaband offer them anything? Again, I'd say a big YES. Getting a professionally produced CD has GOT to be good if you are touting around for the big music biz companies, trying to get noticed! If you can show sufficient believement to get the CD made, and show the sales and download figures you have something to show the music biz - like a business plan almost. The problem is often that new artists/bands don't want to pay their dues and do the "making a living" part first. Sure, some bands get plucked straight from school, but it really doesn't happen that often. Arctic Monkeys, sure, but how many bands are there out there who really think they can make it too, and how many actually will! If you can make a comfortable living playing your music you should be the happiest person alive. If you are unhappy because you haven't got the fame and fortune then perhaps you're in it for the wrong reasons and you're setting youself up for disappointement (IMHO!). OK, the superstars. Can Sellaband produce the next Big Thing? There's no reason why it shouldn't, but, IMHO, there's a lot of luck involved. Being in the right place at the right time, being noticed, fitting in with the zeitgeist, being "now". All these factors are, to the most part, uncontrollable by the striving musos! (hey ... that'd be a great name for a band!). So, in a nutshell, yes SAB can be the springboard into the Music Industry, but, yes SAB could be the Music Industry too. Thank you for your time. UBG

1. Glass Moon 2. Artist 3. We are a band of 5 friends who love to make music with eachother. It all begins somewhere back in 1996 with Dagoba System. Had a few changes in the lineup en in 2004 we decided that Dagoba System was no longer something we could live with. So we transformed into Glass Moon and with that our music transformed with us from complex experimental and progressive metal/rock to more accessible metal/rock and a little pop. One of our proudest achievements is a gig as support act of the Gathering ;D!!! 4. We find out about Selleband 2 months ago through a tv program called "Vrije geluiden" with a performence from Cubworld. That same day we joint Sellaband! 5. We like a lot about this concept. And most of all the fact that the public has a great deal to say about wich band will make it! And you get to meet/know a lot of other great bands and/or believers. Also its great that you can be a artist and believer! Tactics: First we did a lot of spamming the "post comments". That worked nicely. But soon we found out that we will have to do a lot more and are ready to find our way in the community! There are a lot of great bands here we would like to work with. Elleanore, Vegas Dragons, Awake, Wetwerks etc.! We would like to achive a great album, a lot of experience and a lot of friends! Its really a great way to look at other bands and learn from them and get inspired by them! If people like our music they should believe in us. We try to make music thats something different then the rest, but not to complex. We make music because we love to do so. We hope we can share this in our music! Glass Moon! p.s. pardon me for my bad englisch...

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Elleanore www.sellaband.com/elleanore2. What are you on Sellaband? Artist and a believer 3. Tell us something about yourself. I'm almost 22 years old, and the singer of elleanore. I'm doing a musical education in Utrecht. The Herman Brood Academy and I'm doing my intership at sellaband. I live in Tilburg together with my boyfriend. And I probably have a lot more I can talk about which you can ask me if you like. I do not want to bother you with a lot of information you're not asking for. 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? I found sellaband through the myspace page of nemesea and I was directly convinced about the sellaband concept. 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? I like that we as an artist get the chance to record a great album together with our believers. Because of their support the album is going to be great. All of the possitivity they've put in us is gonna be heared in the new songs. What I dislike is that I don't have a lot of money. I would love to invest more on sellaband teher are so many great artists What tactics do you use to try and attract believers? Well actually I don't have any though up tacticts. We think we make great music and it's just wanderful to see that there are people who think the same. I always think we can not thank our believers enough, they make our dream come true more and more every day. I hope we thank them enough by giving them a guestlist spot when we have one and our E-EP is gonna be released soon which is gonnan be free for all our believers. Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? Actually we're woking on a few things. With glass moon and I'm going to record some songs for dandelium. And I would love to perform with nemesea on day and sing with brian of vegas dragons What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband? To be even more thankfull to people who are thankfull for our music. And ofcource we will get a lot of expierence out of making the cd and everything that can hapen afterwards. Why should believers believe in you? Because we believe in ourselves, have the motivation and inspiration to make great music. And we have a lot of great talents in the band. Danny is great with his solo's and really quick. Angelo is a great drummer. Jan is a great songwriter and he is only getting better. Daviid is awesome on the keys, he's really fast it's amazing. And I'm not doing bad as a singer I think.
