It is interesting that you heard from Myspace as that is where I was doing consultation work when I was asked to check out this new site. I love it and still have 1 part from the first investment for that man who asked me to look into this. If they ever get back in touch with me no matter what they sound like they have a part just for introducing me. If they sound good and worth me buying a part they get a second for that too. However as long as I have been here I have yet to hear from them which is too bad. I even sent a message to thier profile they must not have agreed with me that this was a great Idea.

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? For I am indeed Utterly B Groovy. That is a Sisters of Mercy reference for anyone who is interested. I just really liked the T-shirt! 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both)I'm a Believer [ www.sellaband.com/believer/utterlybgroovy/myprofile.html]. Yes yes yes I am. Oh yes. I was also interviewed for the SAB Tribune in January 2007 [ www.sellaband.com/tribune/edition16/]. 3. Tell us something about yourself.6ft 2, Eyes of blue, Thinning hair, but I just don't care. 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up?Dan Ward-Murphy [ www.sellaband.com/danielwm] found it and told all his fans. 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept?I like being able to hear a bunch of music from unsigned artists. I'm not sure about the apparent need for the artists to be "active" on SAB to get and keep support. These people probably have day jobs and so may not be able to keep all the believers happy with messages and whatnot. If you like the music, that should be enough! believers:How do you decide what artists to support? If I like the sound I'll now add them to my Watch List. Once I'm happy I like it, I'll buy a part. If I'm really happy about it, I'll maybe buy some more. If I know you then other drivers kick in and I might buy lots! Oh yes, If I see you live and have a good time I may buy another part, especially if I don't have to pay to get in! Who are your current top 3 recommendations of artists to support and why?Dan Ward-Murphy [ www.sellaband.com/danielwm] OK, I know the guy, and have done on and off for a few years now. I really like the guy's music, and as I've mentioned previously, I really like my music live! I see Dan play quite a lot and I never fail to come away from one of his gigs feeling like a million dollars, so the odd 10 bucks seems like small change! The Lies [ www.sellaband.com/thelies] I shall have to admit to other drivers here, as the singer, Fletch Lies, is one of my nephews! Being related certainly got me out to see them play the first time, but I genuinely enjoy their gigs and really like their music. Sorry Vegas Dragons [ www.sellaband.com/vegas_dragons/] , but I'm going to have to plump for Mysti Mayhem [ www.sellaband.com/mystimayhem/] as No 3! Mysti's music just hits the spot for the place I'm in right now. Any other artists you're currently interested in?Vegas Dragons [ www.sellaband.com/vegas_dragons/] are always worth a look. Brian is working so hard at keeping his profile high and you've gotta admire that. Truth is, his music is genuinely good enough that he deserves to be up there anyway! The Super Dead [ www.sellaband.com/thesuperdead/] sound fantastic. I'm old, so love the Led Zep feel of it (see also Audioslave) Trail [ www.sellaband.com/trailmusic/] are good too. I'm looking forward to seeing them play again as the last time the venue was shocking and really didn't do them justice! Three new ones I really like - Grood [ www.sellaband.com/grood/] JBP [ www.sellaband.com/jbp/] Abrie [ www.sellaband.com/abrie/] What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband? You have to believe that your music is good enough without you having to jump through hoops to keep the believers happy. They are here, or at least should be here, to listen too, and like (or otherwise) your talent as a musician, not as an all-round entertainer. That said, you do need to chat to your believers, and enter into the community a bit, after all, you are trying to get people to listen to your music so seeing your name pop up in peoples messages may lead to people clicking to see who you are! Don't assume you will get to $50K in a month or two. I think the first few artists to make the $50 may have set unreasonable expectations for some of the others. You have to encourage people outside the current set of SAB Believers to join up and support you. This means gigging in your local area and spreading the word to your existing fan-base. Try and get an article about yourself in your local newspapers, etc. The people already in SAB may support you, but you will need people from your real world to support you too! Enjoy the ride! As I say to all my nephews and nieces, cousins, sisters, brothers, and friends who tread the boards in one way or another, you have to enjoy doing it first and foremost. If you are only focused on the finishing post you may end up disappointed and disallusioned if you don't get there soon enough, but if you've enjoyed the ride it's all gravy, and if it's all gravy then the ride continues!

Mr Groovy!!! I am a big Sisters of Mercy fan. Vision Thing is one of my favourite albums (in my top 20 for sure) When I first heard the song "More" for the first time in 1992 I was totally blown away! Some goth guy on the bus said: "check this out" and gave me his headphones. It was 8 minutes of pure joy! Every song on "Vision Thing" is fantastic. Detonation Boulevard is fantastic. The lyrics are so colourful and wonderful on all the songs. I especially love "Vision thing" Another black hole in the killing zone A little more mad in the methedrome One blinding flash of sense Just like the presidents Well, I dont mind Out of my mind Blizzard king Bring it on home Its a small world and it smells bad Id buy another if I had Back What I paid For another *^*%#%^$^ in a motorcade Thank you for your kind words about Vegas Dragons too!

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Nicola Thornton 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) Artist and soon to be believer 3. Tell us something about yourself. I'm 21 born in New Zealand (dutch & English blood), traveled around overseas a bit. Experienced so much at a young age, finally settled down back in New Zealand in a little town called 'Whakatane" and finished off my schooling there. Went off and studyed commercial music and moved to the big city of Auckland last year with a great music job and making my way into the music realm... Luv writing music, performing, watching gigs, the beach, snowbaording, road trips... ;D ;D 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? Kane Sole (Studied with him) sent me his welcome e-mail about it and it looked like such a great idea for artists. 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? Luv the fact that your believers can help you get to the final stages of producing a CD. Hear many artists that arn't heard of and be part of their growth. artists: What tactics do you use to try and attract believers? I must admit i havn't had much time lately with doing to many tactics, however i do plan to get some new material done, get some more local support, and get my name seen around the boards. Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? luv Kane sole's music, listened to his work since i met him about 3 years ago when we studied at the same place. Really like Cubworlds music i could deff listen to that all day!! What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband? Deffinatly get some more people aware of who i am and my music. Would luv to get to the 50k and get a wicked album out to the believers Why should believers believe in you? I'm down to earth Kiwi, i put my soul into my music, write from the heart and take my time with how i want it to end up like. I want to get somewhere with my music and wont give up till i reach it.

1.What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Rock Poets (www.sellaband.com/rockpoets) 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) Artist 3. Tell us something about yourself. Rock Poets are a product of the wild grown up on the 80´s of RoadMaster, Rock Poets lead singer, guitar player and main composer. Looking at rock not only as a music type, but also as a way of being in life, a state of mind. Having Rock as a part of their soul, Rock Poets are not satisfied only in hearing Rock, but they also want to contribute with songs (good ones) to the movement. Coming together with the songs, there´s the pure energy shown in every concert given by Rock Poets 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? We discovered Sellaband.com on the news, on T.V. 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? A strong chance of letting the world know Rock Poets songs, an alternative way of getting a chance of Rocking the world from one side to the other. What tactics do you use to try and attract believers? hummm...kind of hard... we let our songs do that for us. I believe that pure rockers won´t be indifferent to our songs, because we do make rock as we think it has to be...wild ans simple. Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? we´re really rookies in here, still browsing bands. What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband? World recognition, the chance of steping many other stages that we couldn´t even think on doing it. I just want to Rock the world out. Why should believers believe in you? Why? Simple. Because Rock is coming back again, and we are carrying it. Because we make it hard, pure and with no false intentions. It as worked before, it´s gonna work again, we know. Not only with rockers, i get pleased when i enter a bar and everibody there is singing our songs, that are playing in there. And i mean everyone. It has happened a lot of times, and it will continue happening. We just want a chance to expand. Stay Hard, Rock On!!!

hmmm time for my coming out......
1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Take a peek on the left side and you know :-) Because i was getting confused about my nicknames in different communities i decide to make my SL nick standard everywhere. 2. What are you on Sellaband? A regular visitor that likes to surf around read, listen, chat and take some parts here and there.
3. Tell us something about yourself. A lonesome cowboy running his things from home. More then ten years ago i did trow away my chains of labour slavery, kicked away my well payed job and started doing something with the Internet just because i believed in it. My friends and family thought i was crazy to give up the "good job in the city" for the risk of a so called hype, what did they know :-) Now living my life fully independent, mostly doing the things i like but more important when i like to do them. Never been hunting for the Big$ but for the pleasure, thrill or quality(in whatever). Think this will be the same over here for me, i am certainly not in it for the money..
At the moment my days are filled with rebuilding my house, hosting and developing a cycling fan community, walking around and developing in second life, listing music on sellaband, walking the dog outdoors!! and ofcourse spent now and then some time on earning my money with travel promotion on the internet.
4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? I did read about the concepts the day after the paradiso concert. so typed in the url and here i am. The music, people and the concept itself did the rest.
5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? Like: The community thought where musiclovers and artists meet each other to support a common goal. Also like the kick-ass concept against bureaucracy, default fliters and common taste
Dislike: The chartsmodel where the weekly charts and number of parts sold depends which artist are in the spotlite (easy to find), also a minus is the scant of basic communitytools like an on-side forum or chatroom
believers: How do you decide what artists to support? - I don't know i just do.
What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband? - make good music :-)

1. gogonutz (Koen) 2. believer 3. I'm Koen, currently 22yrs old, living in Leiden, Netherlands. But I'm moving to the US next summer for further education. (I'm currently finishing my studies of Archaeology in the NL, and will continue to do so in the US) 4. I saw it on Dutch TV show "De Wereld Draait Door" (The World Keeps Turning) and I really liked the concept 5. That it's actually giving unknown talent a chance, a real chance
believers: I listen to them and when I like the music I try to contact them. If I think the music is worth it and I like their personalities/philosophy I will support them.
1.Mike Finley, he's a good friend and a very talented singer/songwriter, but he needs a break to develop himself even more. 2. Layout, they have stellar songs, really, listen to them 3. The Reverse Engineers, very professional sound, cool band
Anything '60s/'70s and modern alternative pop/rock but my true love in music lies with the late '60s singer/songwriters (Nick Drake for example)
tell all your friends about it, and let them tell all their friends, and stay in touch with your believers.
