So,
Now we have a couple of the Sellaband guys checking us out (Hello Pim and Johan ;D) I thought it might be a good idea to drop in a thread with a set of introduction questions based on the artist/believer articles in the Tribune. I know some (many?) of you have been done already, but I thought it might give them some ideas of who to ask to be the next "victim" if we get enough people to respond to this!
1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) 3. Tell us something about yourself. 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept?
artists: What tactics do you use to try and attract believers? Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband? Why should believers believe in you?
believers: How do you decide what artists to support? Who are your current top 3 recommendations of artists to support and why? Any other artists you're currently interested in? What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband?

1. whaley 2. believer 3. I'm a 30 year old IT helpdesk analyst from The Netherlands. Amateur drummer and singer but currently without a band. I also like concert photography and acting (theatre) 4. A news message on musicfrom.nl about Nemesea hitting the $50k. I liked the idea and found some good acts to support. 5. I like it that the people can decide if an act is good enough to record professionally, without the traditional business ways. Maybe the bad part is that $50k is still quite a threshold. But I believe it's good publicity anyway even if you never make it. 6. First of all the question is do I like the music, would I buy a cd myself. Then I get influenced by how they interact, do they seem to be nice people, worthy of my support. Finally do I think they'll make it. It's still a very interesting question to see how long do you retain your investments in an act that doesn't seem to get there, for example I could put all my 10 or so parts in cubworld since I'm pretty sure he will make it, leaving the other great artists behind. But right now I'm not treating this as a business, more as a community, and a way to listen to and support great music. 7. Daniel Ward-Murphy looks like he's a genuine musician, his songs are great and I think he deserves to earn his living as a musician. Cubworld is going strong and not without reason, his music has got soul and he seems to be a nice guy happy to make friends everywhere he goes. Elleanore, I like the genre and the one song they have online is just how I like it. I got nice replies from them and I feel they're worth supporting. 8. Danny Vera is a very very good musician even if the music style isn't exactly what I listen to all day There are more act. Basically I just want to say check my profile... 9. Interact. Show your human side. I think 'believers' like to think they're a part of the whole thing as opposed to just being consumers. But keep it real. Network. Both within Sellaband and outside, like on Myspace and Youtube. Write diaries once in a while, or video updates..

1. DarthKoala 2. Believer 3. A Sith's past is often clouded in mystery. I work as programmer, creating and maintaining applications in use by various companies. I'm an amateur musician, playing the trombone. Love CRPGs, but would love to do a PnP session. 4. Someone at work told me about it, I liked the idea of cutting out the pointy-haired middleman. 5. Like: believer-artist and artist-artist interaction. Dislike: 50K can be a very long road to travel, worried about believer-fatigue. 6. First and foremost: music. I've got a broad taste, but things do fall off the edges. I like close harmony songs, hardrock songs, symphonic rock, triphop, hiphop, a bit of R&B, fanfare, soundtracks. Basically, I like melodic pieces as well as those that go bump in the night. Secondly: heart. Something like SellaBand only works for those who can capture and keep the heart of their believers. You need to interact to do that. 7. Cubworld -- come on, I want to be right on getting him there on New Year's Eve. Vegas Dragons -- a Tattoo? That's either very brave or very stupid: very brave. What dedication Maitreya/Phil Tweed -- What? A shared third place: both are great artists. I like Maitreya for his guts striking it out in New York. Phil Tweed is just an amazing musician. The kind of songs are Cubworldish, but the sound is 'cleaner'. 8 Yes, those on my WishList. I'm going to go through it again at the end of the month, and see what stays on, what I really think deserves a believing and those who didn't respond to me. 9. First, bring along your current fans and family. If your current fans jumpstart you, you will have a good shot at brining this off. Believe in yourself. Stay active. Engage your believers in discussions about music, life, and everything else. Treat your believers as individuals. Be human.

Firstly, thank you Darth for the comments...the tattoo is probably stupidity (especially if you listen to my friends) but it keeps me focused! Don't want to be a loser walking around with an empty box on my arm for the rest of my life! At least I didn't get it on my forehead, so there is a little sense there! I really love your witty sense of humour. I don't want to upset you because I'd hate you to take a part back from Vegas Dragons and say one of Darth's most infamous lines : "I am altering the deal. Pray that I don't alter it any further." Ha ha

1. name: Vegas Dragons 2. artist and believer 3. My name is Brian Taylor. I am the singer and songwriter of Vegas Dragons. I'm just an ordinary guy that is trying to do something positive with my life. The two CDs that Vegas Dragons have created have been two of the proudest achievements of my life. I would very much like to make a third CD! I have been working on some GREAT songs that I would love to bring to life. When I was a little kid all I listened to was classical music. However just like a drug addict I got onto the harder stuff and am hooked on that too. I love everything from Mozart to Metallica, Beethoven to Beastie Boys and BB King to King Diamond. I love reading, writing and I am a sci-fi geek. I think that is why I really appreciate Darth Koala. I get all the jokes that others probably miss.
4. I found out about Sellaband by fluke. Saw a dirty piece of newpaper on the ground which read "BUY INTO MUSIC'S STAR TREK" . I only picked it up because I love Star Trek. If it didn't have Star Trek on it, I probably wouldn't know what Sellaband was! A month later and I have their logo on my arm for life! It's funny how life works!
5.What I like about the concept? There is so much!! I love that I can interact with other music lovers. You would have to be very cold not to enjoy talking to people who have invested into your music! I feel I have made so many great friends in a month and I am really looking forward to meeting our believers one day. I will be giving Johan, Lucretia, Onno, Darth Koala, arnis, Dolly, Bram, Lovejoy, Plastic Willem, Adam, Leanne, Alex, Lance, Lord Barron Roja, Darren, General V and all the others a huge hug and kiss when I meet them - so be warned! I guess the thing I dislike is that other people can not see the true potential I can see staring me in the face. Example: The guys that created Google worked their butts off to get their company going in record time because they knew it would be huge - even if others thought it was a waste of time. That is how I feel about Sellaband. I know it is going to huge!! When Cubworld and the next 3 megastars make $50k I want Vegas Dragons to be well placed to ride the wave of new believers that will sweep into Sellaband next year.
Tactics to get new believers - I will use anything I can to convince them to join - except lie to them. I don't want to overpromise or lie but I can genuinely tell you that I live, eat, sleep and everything else Sellaband. It is the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of when I go to sleep!
Artists I like - you just have to see my believers page (brian t) to see who I love. There are also a heap of other artists that are fantastic. I can't wait to see Luna Assassins live on Jan 6th - I have been playing their music to death. I love Jesse David, Lily, Second Person and heaps of others! I expect to have Belief in at least 70 artists by the time Vegas Dragons make it to 50K.... and I will keep buying parts long after our album is recorded!
What do I want to achieve- the obvious thing is Vegas Dragons CD#3 but as corny as it sounds I REALLY am enjoying the friendships I am making along the way. There are at least 20 people I would REALLY like to meet. I get to meet the Luna Assassins in 25 days, I would love to go to Western Australia and meet believer INXS and Mandyleigh ( I would love to hear her sing live) and ofcourse there is Lucretia, Adam & Lovejoy in the Uk, Plastic in Germany, funny man Arnis in Latvia and all my friends in The Netherlands. I would also like to meet Jon Satterfield in the USA. He seems really cool and down to earth. Some people you just get a really great vibe about. (man, I go on!!!) the bottom line is - Of course the 50k is important but I am really enjoying the journey and the friends.. and in the end, life is about friendships.
Why should they believe in Vegas Dragons? Because they like the music and all the hard work being put in. I am just a down to earth Aussie guy. Always have been, always will be. I just want to live out my rock dreams before I die. Every dollar that we get - get's us a step closer.... and when Vegas Dragons makes it to the goal (and we will) may God strike me down dead if I EVER do not treat a believer with the respect and love they have shown Vegas Dragons!
Thanks for reading.

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Mandy 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) Believer baby:) I am cubword's biggest Fan!! 3. Tell us something about yourself. My senior year in highschool I had two sports classes, a peer education class and a computer class. I totally cruized because I knew I would be working hard for the rest of my life:) I like to enjoy life so that when I look back I can have fun again:) 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? Jake was signing up one night and we had a long talk about it and how it will be great to be able to put ten bucks in everyweek and a little extra untill we make it:) We were so happily surprised when things started to really take off for him. Its really given him the guts to go out there and grab his dream with both hands. And wer not letting go:) 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? Ummm I get really bummed when people decide to take money away. It is a downer but I understand and love being able to do so if for any reason I have lost my belief. I also think that people should commit. If I put money on some one it is pretty much theirs. Unless they don't shave their legs when I ask them to. Then my friends it is just over. No more parts from the Mandy girl. Sorry guys just cant have hari leggs on sellaband...its just the way it is so live with it.
How do you decide what artists to support? Well first I ask " Do they look like they shave their leggs? Then I see if I like their music. Then Ill write them a lot and tease them and say were going to buy parts and see how long I can torture them and then finally if they actually do shave I will buy a part. Seriously though. I like all kinds of music and basically if I hear passion or a good messege I m usually pretty easy to persuade. If I only had tons of money I would be like my hero Plastic Willem and be burning the cards left and right:) Hey we will see.. One day I will be able to put lots more into people. That will be way fun. I will have to buy shaving cream for everyone too just to make sure:) Who are your current top 3 recommendations of artists to support and why? Number one is Jake. Now I might be biased but if we look at the charts I am probably not that much. I believe in him because he really does a good job shaving. Now he might be a great singer and the most hansome loveable guy in the world and the most creative and the best kisser I mean writter...but what really draws me to him is his shaving skills. I mean WOW!!!
So the next artist I would have to say is Second Person. I love the put together sound and the beautiful symboic words. It seems like they are really shaving a lot too and that makes a lot of difference.
The last one is one group I have liked since I first heard them. LenaLuiz. I just get all happy when I listen and they have big vested interest in shaving as well. They shave and shave and shave and man I just really love that. By shaving I mean they work really hard. Any other artists you're currently interested in? Yeah all the boyz as well. Kane Daniel Maitreya Jesse and Gd Allen. Love those guys. What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband?
The biggest advice I can give you is to not rely on sellaband to do the work for you. Grab on to you dreams and dont look back. Talk to everyone about sellaband. Sell your self. get the things you need to start making a name for you. Be willing to go out of your comfort zone. Jakes family started believing whne they realized he was serious about it and I think family and friends can be your biggest critics as well as your biggest fans. Jakes Family and Friends have been awesome in our case and have been behind him 100%. Believe in yourself for sure. Me and Jake thought we would be putting money in it like a savings to invest in jakes dreams. We would still be putting money into Jake if everyone wasnt behind him in his music. Because he is doing so well though we feel comfy to give a little to other artists that we love. I think that making sure everyone is thanked and knows that it really means the world to you is so important. if it doesnt mean the world to you to have a new fan or that someone iswilling to support you in your dreams then this probably isnt the best place for you. It is so important to be greatful. Nobody likes big dummys who dont shave. Just keep shaving and you should be fine:) remembe hair on the leggs is just not for sellaband. nuff said...

About time I added myself in here isn't it?
1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Lucretia
2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) believer
3. Tell us something about yourself. I'm 34 and married but no children. I'm currently working in the construction industry writing CAD software for steel buildings and performing the maintenance and SEO for the company website. However, I'm in the process of exchanging the rat race for more quality time. I recently handed my notice in and from the end of January, I will be working from home setting up and managing the Internet sales for a local car parts firm and maybe even doing some contract work for the IT company my husband started about 18 months ago.
4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? Originally I'd seen a couple of articles online on Yahoo, but it was when The Super Dead contacted me with a friend request on Myspace that I decided to take a look and see what it was all about. As a fan of The Darkness and knowing the story behind their first album, the basic concept immediately made sense, but at the same time I had a vision that the concept could eventually be used to create the revolution in the music industry that so many people have been looking for. By turning the financial situation on its head you create something which truly does put the music industry back in the hands of artists and their fans.
5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? I like the fact I'm getting to hear artists from all over the world that it would probably take me years to find otherwise (if I ever did). However, I think there needs to be a way to include younger members in the concept - the reliance on credit card/bank account generally leaves them out. General V is an exception when he really needs to be the rule - it's these young fans that are really going to have the dedication to be the "aggressive street team" needed for artists and who are going to love the contact they get with them. I also think the presentation of the concept leans too heavily on the "making money" aspect rather than the "interaction" aspect when it's the interaction which makes the concept work.
6. How do you decide what artists to support? I try and check out all the new arrivals every day, but that isn't always possible. I'm also building up a number of believers where I see them often heading for the same sorts of artist that I do, so I usually check those profiles once a week and look at any new choices they have that I don't to see if there's anyone I want to support. I don't always support an artist I like immediately any more. With the sheer number signing up, I am generally now looking to see who can attract believers in from outside Sellaband and who makes attempts to get involved with the community before I commit money.
7. Who are your current top 3 recommendations of artists to support and why? Phil Tweed is currently my number one choice. He has some incredible talent both in terms of singing/performing and in songwriting ability. Second on the list comes Elleanore. Although you never see much of them on Sellaband, I've seen them working really hard elsewhere to get new believers and they've been bringing in quite a few. I've got a fight going on for third place at the moment between Slim Void who seem to be attracting loads of support in from outside and Vegas Dragons whose obsessive devotion to their believers and Sellaband is impossible to ignore.
8. Any other artists you're currently interested in? Second Person, Sascha Vella, Luna Assassins and Francis Rodino would probably top my list of other recommendations, but I've quite a selection to pick from in my current list of belief, my watch list and even in the recommended artists I'm not currently supporting that you can find in my profile info.
9. What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband? Plenty of patience. Even if you make a good start, you'll reach a point where things just don't seem to be happening. Money tends to arrive in phases - the best you can do is keep promoting yourself outside of Sellaband to try and attract more people in and offer some incentives every so often, such as a new track for existing people on Sellaband to listen to, and you may manage to convert some more of them too. Get your younger fans to sign up to this forum! Even if they can't support you directly, they may still be able to make a difference by getting others interested in you.

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband?Mandyleigh 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both)both 3. Tell us something about yourself.I`m a singer/songwriter who has been writing music (and singing in cover bands/duo's) for years, but now I have to give my music a shot. Depression stopped me doing alot of what I should have been doing with my originals. The last few years or so, I have my life back. I want to leave something of me behind when I die. I love Japanese food. I have a naughty soh. I`m married with 2 little girls (1 & 2). I lived in the UK for 12 years until the 2nd girl was on the way, so we thought it would be best if we returned to Perth (where my parents are) so that our girls would know their Grandparents (and vice-versa). If we hadn`t had the girls, we'd still be living in the UK, which is where I feel my home is. My family are originally from Southampton. My favourite movie is 'The Breakfast Club'. I left high school early due to bullying. My fave artists are Coldplay, George Michael, Seal, John Lennon, Nina Simone, Nick Drake, Jamiroquai, Black Sabbath, ELO, Fiona Apple, Aretha Franklin, Freakpower, Annie Lennox etc etc. 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up?My husband (Gary) saw it mentioned on a blog, checked it out, did some research to make sure it wasn`t something dodgy, and then I signed up. 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept?Like: The way music is back in the hands of the people who matter... the artists and listeners, in such a direct way that has never been done before. Cuts out the accountants and marketing men who want to push the 'Crazy Frog' song rather than anything else. Dislike: It's hard to keep your face above the crowd, and I don`t like to Spam if I can help it. I don't like sending the 5 messages (in 4 weeks) that I have to believers, but I feel there's not much choice, so I just try to be very selective, politely asking people to listen to my music if I see they have supported other artists which are similar to me. artists: What tactics do you use to try and attract believers?Selectively spamming (though I hate it). Giving out business cards (promoting SAB) on one side at gigs etc. Most gigs I do in the cover duo I can`t give cards out though, as management get upset. I`m there to sing covers, not promote myself... so that's a big avenue lost alot of the time. I promote my Sellaband profile on my website www.mandyleigh.com . Just getting the word out about Sellaband any way I can. Whether people believe in me or not... just go check out Sellaband. Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with?Cubworld, Daniel Ward-Murphy and Vegas Dragons. You wouldn`t know it by the songs I have online atm, but I`m quite a rocker lately, and have written some reasonably heavy rock songs.... I just need to get together with people to record them, so Vegas would be great for those. I think I could write some other great songs with Jake and Daniel, for the mellower stuff. What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband?Making it to the $50k and making the 'believers' proud of me, and repaying them. I've been making friends as well, which I love. I email often with Brian and Onno, who are really nice people. Why should believers believe in you?I can deliver the goods. If you think the songs online have potential, then you'll be knocked out by the ones I haven`t had the chance to record yet. I'm professional, dedicated, hard-working and down to earth. I'm also posting a signed cd out (with 16 tracks... all I could fit on a cd) to the first 25 believers. And I shave my legs alot believers: How do you decide what artists to support?I just look in the genre charts I'm interested in (eg Acoustic), and listen to who is in there. If I like the feel enough, I`ll support them. That should be the main criteria I think. If they appreciate the belief then that's a bonus, but I don`t expect them to email or comment or anything. As long as they keep the music going that's what I`m interested in. The song doesn`t have to be perfectly recorded either... it's not like any of the artists on sellaband have had the big budgets to do that. I`m interested in the voice and melody.... the music will change when it's recorded properly, so I don't go by the music much at all. Cubworld is a prime example. You can tell he has something worth investing in to make it even better. My music will also be leagues different from what is online, but the melody will stay pretty much the same. Who are your current top 3 recommendations of artists to support and why?Apart from me of course I like Cubworld, because it just touches me. Music isn`t about how well something was recorded, or even how well someone sings (so many great songs haven`t been sung by great singers).... it's the 'state change' that goes on in your chemical makeup of your brain that tells you when something hits the spot. Jake hits the spot. Daniel-Ward Murphy, who also has great melodies. You can see who I`ve supported on my believers profile, but just to make a change I`ll pick a new artist, by searching from the last page of the charts, as there are some great artists who never get a chance to be heard because they don't have the resources to invest in themselves etc (although obviously they may be lazy, but I like to give people a chance). I`ll get back to you on this one Any other artists you're currently interested in?as above... I`ll have to have time to listen to some more. I just heard T-ka for the first time, and she's quite nice. What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband?- put some info on your profile page. I`ve been listening to artists while typing this, and there's too many artists without any info. There's also some who haven't uploaded a track to listen to. Eh?? - be pro-active. You can't expect to just sit there and have people listen to you and the believers roll in.

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband?Lily 2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both)both 3. Tell us something about yourself.I'm a dreamer who has been singing and writing since I can remember. I was born and raised in Colombia, where although I was surrounded by a lot of poverty, I knew nothing else but good hearted, happy and hard working people. I was blessed with a loving family and mother who would never say no to any of my crazy ideas. I took as many dancing, singing, gymnastic classes as I could fit into my schedule... since very young I was given the choice to follow any road I thought would make me happy. Basically, I was born to learn how to be independent and follow my dreams. Before arriving to the United States i thought, hmmm now my dreams can become true, I will not be poor anymore and I'll have everything I always wanted. Well, I learned rather quickly that this was false and had no choice but to start working at the age of 14 to help my family. Although I was never forced to, I couldn't see my mother and older brother struggled while I kept daydreaming. So I had to put my dreams aside and took the 'safe' way to freedom. I went to school, graduated with a double major (I was the nerd among my group of friends) while working and supporting myself and helping my family. At the same time I was investing the little bit of money I had left to support my vocal lessons. During my last year of school I started taking mambo lessons and was quickly drafted by a professional team to start performing all over the world. I was so amazed to meet so many different places and experienced the different cultures, but sooner or later I realized I was missing something, and this was singing. So I started using my connections and I would dance and sing at all the events (GUAM will always be my favorite). I was given the opportunity to record my last CD and meet wonderful people. So I decided to stop dancing and I start concentrating in my music only. After so many broken promises and many performances I started to get dissapointed and impatient. And just when I was ready to settled for my 9-5, I found sellaband. 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up?one of my closest friend, Marcos, told me about sellaband. I checked it out and thought, well it's worth a try so I just posted my bio and loaded a few songs, with not much trust or hope that it might lead into something. But when I checked my page a few days later I noticed the believers list increasing and so were the many sweet comments. This motivated me to send an email to all my friends and co-workers, you see my friends from college knew me as the nerd, not the dancer or singer I was when I left school...the rest is history... 5. What do you like/dislike about the concept?Like: I love the fact that fans, the people that really matter in this industry, get to choose and invest in those they believe, and are not forced to listen to those that perhaps have the connections, money or right look to get on the radio. Dislike: As Lucretia, I'm not pleased with the fact that the younger fans or teenagers can't join sellaband and post comments or connect with the artists. Most of them do not have credit cards so it is hard to attract them to this new concept. artists:What tactics do you use to try and attract believers?I try to bring something new to the table as much as I can. Although it is hard to let people know when something new is posted without posting comments to as many people as possible (I only leave comments to those that I know won't mind or take it the wrong way). I have flyers that I distribute in all my shows. I also post the banner in my website (www.lilycd.com) and myspace (www.myspace.com/lilycd). Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with?I like so many artist from sellaband, but I would like to work with LenaLuiz, Magnus or Kane Sole. I like to experience new sounds and I think we can make something good. What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband?I would love to record a high quality CD that will contain 100% of my ideas, sounds, lyrics, feelings and get the attention and promotion it will deserve. From that point on, it is up to the fans. Why should believers believe in you?this is a hard question....I would like for anyone to believe in me because they like what they hear. Although not everyone might understand the lyrics, it might bring a feeling or smile to their faces. I love when people comment that my songs are straight from the heart or that it makes them want to dance when they don't even speak Spanish, this only proves one thing, music is universal, it knows no age, language, race, religion. My job is to entertain and bring something positive into anyone's life. believers:How do you decide what artists to support?Their songs have to give me a good feeling. For example, Magnus makes me want to help, Lena Luiz bring me back to my childhood because their sound reminds me of a band I couldn't stop listening to when I was dreaming at a very small age, but at the same time they are genuine, I would listen to Sasha Vella because her songs are like stories I can go back and read over and over..It's all about how they make me feel. Who are your current top 3 recommendations of artists to support and why?Magnus (he has a good mission in life, and although he's lived some terrible moments he still managed to stay pure) LenaLuiz, (read above) Second Person (truly one of a kind) Any other artists you're currently interested in?I have so many, such as Second Person, Kane Sole, Cubworld, Vegas Dragon, Jesse David, IGT (they earned my respect...they are really hard working individuals with a lot of talent). and many others...I can go on and on..sellaband is filled with talent! What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband?Do not copy and paste..it is rude and people will notice. Magnus once copied and pasted a comment to invite all artists to join him in a collaboration song for 'save the children'...this is different, there is no way for us artists to contact each other for these type of events. However copying and pasting "believe in me!" is truly spamming. Also, please keep in contact with your believers, it is the least we can all do.

2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) ARTIST BABY! Yeeehaw! lol
3. Tell us something about yourself.
I am 22, I am a female guitarist, vocalist, stage performer, director, film maker, and traveller. I have been performing since I was 14. I am an only child, my family members are deceased, so music has been my reason for living.
4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up?
A friend told me about it. I signed up because I have given up on knocking on Industry doors, and paying for Showcases.
5. What do you like/dislike about the concept?
I was informed by one of the top selling artists that because I joined "Late" and don't allow spamming (copying and pasting generic letters to EVERYONE on Sellaband), I won't have a chance of gaining Believers.
artists: What tactics do you use to try and attract believers?
I inform all of my fans of the site and hotlink it on my websites.
Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with?
I believe T-KA is an amazing artist with something to offer the world. MAGNUS, a very prominent character when I first logged on, moves a lot of people as well.
What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband?
I would like to achieve bonds and relationships while obtaining the goal of 50,000 dollars for the record.
Why should believers believe in you?
I can't answer this... I believe in me... and for me that will always be enough. If others believe, I can only be thankful and greatful.

1. What name do we know you by on Sellaband? menvillemaniac
2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) I'm believer, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...lol
3. Tell us something about yourself. I am 32 originally from Cincinnati now living in Northern Ky. I grew up around music, both my brothers are musicians, Russ and Mark Willoughby for those of you who may or may not know of them (shameless plug). I have experienced an extreme number of concerts, raves, nightclubs and bars and have also done some promoting along the way, as well as some security. I love, love, love to dance and sing although I'm not sure I have much of a voice but I can shake my butt. I have two awesome kids that make everyday worth waking up for, and also a reason for going to bed at night!!! 4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? My friends Mysti Mayhem and partner Shawn Spencer of SPELLBOX. Mysti convinced me to voice what I BELIEVE in. So now I'm here!!!
5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? I think it's great to give the artists another tool to help them along the way in this ridiculous industry. Dislike not sure honestly haven't been in long enough to say.
How do you decide what artists to support? I need to feel hair raising up on my arms and my mind lost in the musical experience. Heart and soul. Who are your current top 3 recommendations of artists to support and why? Mysti Mayhem, SPELLBOX, and J. Russ Willoughby (Russ is not on Sellaband) Why? Because they believe in themselves and aren't afraid to tell it like it is, they moved me!!! I am grateful to have them as friends.
Any other artists you're currently interested in? Thornhill Jones
What advice would you give to artists who have just signed up to Sellaband? Believe in yourselves, never give up, and spread the word, promote, promote, promote!!!

1.What name do we know you by on Sellaband? Lenaluiz
2. What are you on Sellaband? (artist/believer/both) Artist
3. Tell us something about yourself. My name is Yann I am one of the guitar players for the band. In fact I have been working with my friend Andre (guitarist and main composer of Lenaluiz with Sonia the singer), since the last 20 years. Doing band projects, writing songs, backing up artists, cover bands a lot of things musicians do to get a living out of their work. Music is the main thread in my life, a place where I know I'll always feel good. I started in my teens playing in punk rock bands and now 25 years later, I am in a project based on Latin roots music, but it's all the same for me: heart, truth and faith.
4. How did you find out about Sellaband and what convinced you to sign up? One of the expert/ producer at Sellaband , Gilles Martin, is a friend and active believer of Lenaluiz. He told us about it and convinced us to be part of it, and we thank him about it. Guess who we'd love to work with if we make it to the 50K?...
5. What do you like/dislike about the concept? I love the feeling of community of people taking charge for what they love and not wasting their time in weeping on what they'll do if... exchanging ideas, listening to each others, communicating. dislike? Nothing. I just wish things would go even faster as we need a lot more believers to get the full power out of sellaband (but hey it's only 5 months of activity...)
What tactics do you use to try and attract believers? Nothing really special. Just trying to keep people informed as much as I can (within and outside of sellaband) Thank all believers or artists buying our parts or taking the time to live a comment in our page. Change our picture and songs every week or so to show the maximum of what we do an keep things alive.
Are there any other artists on Sellaband you're interested in or would like to work with? There are so many talented artists on sellaband, but the first one I send a mail to was Cubworld and I’m very happy to see him on top. I’ve always loved Nick Drake and Cub remind me a lot of him. I like also Lily, Daniel ward-Murphy, Kane sole, second person, Sasha vella, T-Ka, Mysti Mayhem just to name a few.
What would you like to achieve through your experience with Sellaband? Get our record finished. Expand our following abroad and be able to get our name noticed out of French boarders. Tour and tour again, to finally start it all over from the top.
Why should believers believe in you? because it's worth it because they like it because it's sincere because the world needs smooth because they love to jump fences
