Some information courtesy of Matthew Ebel. Apparently, the payout button doesn't work (what a surprise) so it's not possible to withdraw money at the moment anyway grooveduke Even I have questions on that. Haven't spotted a single existing artist OR believer who likes the look of the new T&C yet. I already know what my own intentions are w.r.t. future Sellaband interaction, and I'm aiming to keep this board around in the short term at least. But as I said elsewhere I have a feeling the new SAB owners just signed their own death warrant already, so I'm not convinced there is a longer term to stick around on.

Does the law therefore not allow them to extend that? Anyway, since most believers had no intention of withdrawing parts I don't think this will make a big difference.

grooveduke: Sure they may extend the period for the benefit of the customer.

What I did is download the terribly unprofessional documents at times in semi-legalese and just logged out without pressing either of the buttons.
To write that only clause 4.5 has been changed is misleading and although I can understand that it might have happened in the rush to get the site back up, I'll be even more cautious by now. The T&C's are so conflicting even within one clause that I'm just going to wait it out until the new SAB Management understands that they've bought what they thought were assets (the believers and the current projects in progress) are worth zilch ...
I'm equally sure that many believers, belonging to the 99% silent ones, might not even visit SAB within the coming 2 weeks ....
I'm pretty sure too that it is illegal to force new T&C's on existing customers before allowing access to their profiles and money. Quite sure that this was not in the spirit of the take-over agreement between the Curator (or Trustee as he called himself) and Sellaband GmbH.

I guess the period of two weeks applies to German Fernabsatzgesetz (Distance Selling Act). But it's actually for consumer protection: you can withdraw from a contract within two weeks without giving reasons. Makes no sense in this context. Sure, it makes sense. Be sure, without that, the new T&Cs wouldn't have allowed to revoke your bought parts at all!

FWIW My advice at the moment would be to NEITHER accept NOR decline the new T&C due to the inclusion of paragraph 8.1 in the believer T&C.

Has 8.1 changed? .. no payout of remaining balances in case of termination by the believer?

Meanwhile, what I would really like is to be able to get my money back. I find this quite unbelievable that "payouts are temporarily unavailable"... so what, unavailable for two weeks? How practical. I'm really not happy with this new Sellaband.

But as I did not yet accept the new T&C, clause 8.1 is not yet applicable to me. So what is relevant is what the old T&C said about this issue as I did sign that one.

amagan Dagmar posted on the support forum that the payout system will be fixed "asap" and "probably tomorrow". Will wait and see.

kompis: this is new, but badly phrased. I think that if a believer wants to terminate his account, he should first ask for payout, wait until the payout has been received and then close the account. How would you be able to do it after you terminated your account?

@xander: not sure if the old T&C's are still applicable as a new legal entity has taken over after bankruptcy of the old legal entity.
What I'm pretty sure of though is that it is not legal to force the SIGNING of T&C's on customers who accepted different T&C's as a prerequisite to manage your profile and funds.
Interestingly the T&C's don't have a Bankruptcy Clause ;-) ...
