Excellent gig gents: The "support" band didn't show for some reason, so we kicked off with Trail. The sound was great - Zulus at The Kings Head is a great small venue - unlike the last time I saw them, and I was there for the whole set! Definately a bit more lively on stage than last time too, but still finding their feet. Chaps ... you should try and look like you're enjoying yourselves! The louder (faster?) songs worked best, 'cos we had a bunch of people in who think it'd be great to pay a fiver to be able to talk (the other room in the pub was a club!). I really love the music, and am truely looking forward to getting the $50K album! Francis rocks up for the second, and final, set of the evening, with cameraman in tow and really stole the show! His band were great to watch as well as listen too, and Francis is an excellent performer! I could see Francis taking an afternoon slot at a big festival - kinda the "Van Morrison" slot - with hoards of drunken hippie-executives dancing around in the sun drinking lumpy cider - that's certainly my Wife's idea of a good time! A good night out, and no mistake! UBG
