sorry to hear that... But as I said, in the beginning, there is no other option as a new band to come out so people get to know you... And all we ever did was post 1 message on your account, so I think that's not so bad? Anyway, we're concentrating on the future now! Lots of good stuff and original ideas! And with the official SAB forum to come, let's hope no fresh band must go around and put messages on everyone's account because we know now how annoying that can be... I hope one day you can forgive us this mistake

You do know you'll never get me as a believer, no matter how nice you are and how good your music is, because of that spamming period? You're not making much sense, Darth... Alot of other artists left the same unpersonal message on your account AFTER us, and you put them even in your wishlist. So why don't you just cut the crap and say you don't like our music? We can take that, we know our music is not very commercial, and you must take a very good listen to hear the rock underneath it. You're just playing, I realise that, but don't use fresh faces on SAB to bully around, that's not exactly nice. Just had to say this, I'm sorry to spoil the fun

... cut the crap you say. Very well, I shall. I like your music. No crap, no BS. Thanks for pointing out my inconsistencies, I'm only human, alas, and sometimes spammers slip through the maze. So, I think I got them all now. Thank you for enlightning me.

So, I think I got them all now. Thank you for enlightning me. I think it's great that you do like our music, thanx for saying So maybe you could give some advice to newbees on SAB how to get some attention WITHOUT spamming? Because we take this business really serious, with ofcourse a lot of fun too... But when SAB grows, it'll be just more difficult to get noticed between those 1000s of other bands... So Darth, plz, if you have any ideas, feel free to share them with us and all the other fresh faces on SAB! Greetz, Bart Machin! ps: I like your game, darth ;D don't worry, we càn handle it

The thing is. it's hard. There are thousands of artists on SellABand, and I just don't have the time or the energy to listen to all new ones anymore.. So, a band has got to stand out. Spamming is a way to stand out from the crowd, and I hate it. But it does get people to your page. Most believers on SellABand don't mind the spamming. I do. I get lots of email spam every single day, which google filters for me rather nicely, and I foresee that in the future believers may have their profile page spammed to 4 page lengths on creation. Perhaps I'm pessimistic in that way. What I'd really really really like, is something like a weekly mail or something from SellABand, where 10 artists are presented: 5 totally random, and 5 based on my current ones. The spamming will continue, whether by bands, or by fellow believers, or eventually, by sock-puppet believers. Such is to be expected, and I'm probably fighting a losing battle. The solution? I don't know.. perhaps we should ask a creative genius (tm) if his gray matter catches some inspiration particles which will solve it.

Hmm, maybe the sellaband guys can split the inbox into messages from people on your believer/wishlist/outbox and 'unknowns'. That way you can read the unwanted but potentially interesting ones when you feel like it and still use the system for communicating with the artists & believers you already know and like.

Kindof like a 'junkmail' folder in your inbox... Not a bad idea... We received our first junkmail this week... bands spamming bands... that's just ... not ... smart
