I was just wondering if there still are people that come on this forum, because it has been awfully quiet these last couple of weeks

I pop in sometimes but I think everyone pretty much moved over to the official forum at SAB

I still check in daily (apart from when I'm not here, like the fact I was at Sellabration the past few days) but I have been noticing the drop in activity recently.

I try to visit this forum at least once a day and try to join interesting discussions when they pup-on on the first ever, and still the best, forum about sellaband.

At least once/twice a week I visit this forum. But only die-hard-believers seem to visit this place. The other believers don't even know about this place (any more).

Thanks for the vote of confidence Walter Hopefully when Johan gets the business plan out the way on 2nd October, the forum moderator question'll start working its way towards the top of the pile again. Think it's sort of been forgotten due to the need to get the plan right or (potentially) upset a lot of people - I see he already has you well wound up even though the details haven't been announced

Lucretia, I hope you get the job.
Any chance of sorting out these so-called 'successful' artists/bands who spend so much time writing to investors to hook in 'believers' - and never seem to gig? I think this is a great weakness of sellaband. I'm also concerned that I am hearing songs which are NOT ORIGINAL!
(BTW the Latin quotation, which I suppose attempts to render "Hell hath no fury like a woamn scorned', is grammatically incorrect.)

Johan knows my thoughts on the lack of "housekeeping" of artists on Sellaband, and I think that one has to be tackled before you can start having a go at the ones that don't turn up with any believers. The number with incomplete profiles or some just plain crazy profiles still seems to be affecting about 5-10% of signups even before we start on the "inactive artists" Unfortunately I'm just a believer and don't have any real influence in that quarter, though it isn't going to stop me bringing up the issue every so often to try and shame them into actually doing something about it. I see you fell into the trap on the quotation - it isn't a direct translation of the Shakespeare as I'm using the subjunctive to express possibility instead of making a statement of fact. If you look closely you'll see the object of the sentence is different to what you might expect (scorn rather than woman) and I'm also being awkward by using the one verb with both sides of the ut clause (hence it gets neutered). What I believe you should be seeing if you do a direct translation back into English is therefore Hell (may) not (have) as great a fury as the scorn of a woman may have. In other words, you could say it's my coded warning to others - i.e. don't get in my way when I'm angry because you might not like my reaction
